Meet the Maker

Hello, I'm Kristen, and I love cats, coffee, and of course - cozy knits.

In the summer of 2020, I started making a lot of hats as a way to work through some of my yarn stash - and I learned that I just LOVE knitting hats.  And even better - as I knit, I was more often than not accompanied by my sweet kitten Piper (occasionally her brother Pepper - but he's typically more interested in attempting to play with my yarn!).  And, I found that once winter came, colder days became not quite so bad, since I had a stack of really fun, colorful, warm knits to choose from!  

I use only the highest quality, ethically sourced materials, and take pride in handcrafting knit accessories using beautifully soft, natural fibers.  My product line includes hats, cowls, scarves, mittens, and more.  I personally make everything by hand, including the faux fur poms for my hats.  

Materials

Piper & Bee uses only the highest quality, ethically sourced materials.  All of your knit items are made from super soft, mulesing free wool. I was well into my 30s (seriously) before I learned that not all wool is itchy and scratchy and every single material that I use must pass my own sensitive skin test.  If I wouldn't want to wrap the wool around my head or neck, I don't use it!

Pom poms are made from cruelty-free faux fur.  We use minimal, environmentally friendly packaging - our mailing bags are completely compostable!
